Indian rummy is a game of skill and patience: arrange 13 cards into valid sequences and sets before your opponents do. Here are the rules and the habits that make better players.

Rummy Basics

Three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, with no joker. You must have at least one.
Impure sequence
A sequence completed with a joker standing in for a missing card.
Sets
Three or four cards of the same rank in different suits.
Jokers
Printed jokers and a randomly chosen wild joker can replace any card.

Discard
Throw one card onto the discard pile.
Declare
When all 13 cards are valid, declare to win.
